Igwe Igwe is a Program Officer for CSI’s Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative in Nigeria. He is a strong advocate of social change and has a passion for grassroots empowerment and community development.
 
Prior to joining CSI+, Igwe was an Associate Lecturer at the Lagos State Polytechnic, Surulere Campus, a senior research lecturer at WySE Associates Limited (an accountancy and management institute) in Lagos and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria Learning Resource Centre in Kaduna State. He also lectured at Saint Augustine’s College of Education and Yaba College of Technology Lagos, where he taught research methodology and other courses. Igwe has carried out research work for many local and international organizations, including the UN, Doctors Without Borders, and NGOs specializing in indigenous peoples, women, and youth.

Igwe is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lagos Nigeria, with a specialization in Criminology. He holds a Master Degree (M.sc) in Sociology; Master of Education (M.Ed) in Community Development and Social Work and a Bachelor of Art-Education (BA.ED) in Adult-Education; all obtained from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
