Mr. Ba is the Chief Executive of the African Media Initiative, an unprecedented pan-African effort aimed at strengthening the media sector in Africa. He is also the co-founder and Chairman of AllAfrica Global Media, Inc., which operates http://allafrica.com, the largest distributor of African news worldwide. Prior to starting AllAfrica, Mr. Ba served as the Director of Communications and Marketing for BICIS Bank.

Mr. Ba is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Council for the Future of Journalism, an advisory board member of the Reporting Development Network Africa, member of the Advisory Committee of the Knight International Journalism Fellowship by the International Center for Journalists, and member of the Africa Policy Advisory Board of ONE.
